This documentary exposes the ancient origins of modern religions, tracing them back to ancient Egypt and beyond. It tells about the sixteen other crucified saviours before Jesus, and how plagiarising the beliefs of many ancient civilizations created the Christian myth. The story goes on to explain how many of these old religions were based on the ancient worship of the sun as “the light of the world” and the giver of life; how the sun “dies” for 3 days at the winter solstice as it ceases it’s movement southward in the sky, and then is “reborn” on December 25th as it begins to move north again. The connection between religion and the zodiac is also explained, such as Christians (who worship the sun of God) worshipping on Sun-day, while Hebrews worship on Saturday (from the ancient Semetic worship of Saturn.) These examples are just the tip of the iceberg.
